Dear Andre Schindler, how would you describe NinjaOne in 3 quick-witted words?
Customer-obsessed, Simplicity and Product-driven
Please introduce yourself briefly and tell us something about your background.
I’m the GM, EMEA and SVP, Global Sales at NinjaOne. I oversee all EMEA operations and Global Sales. I’ve been with the company for over six years now, having originally been brought in by our CEO, Sal Sferlazza, to set up the EMEA office in Berlin, where we now have hundreds of employees.
Before joining NinjaOne, I worked in various management positions for TeamViewer. I’ve always been an engineer by heart, and I studied medical engineering and biotechnology at the University of Bayreuth.
What distinguishes NinjaOne from other providers?
At NinjaOne we have a healthy obsession with customer success. We provide free and unlimited training, onboarding, and support for every customer, and our hands-on product teams build the future with our customers.
Localisation is also incredibly valuable to our customers, and something we take very seriously and dedicate time and resource to. We align as a global company while simultaneously adapting to the different markets we operate in to enable success for every customer.
How does NinjaOne help other companies?
NinjaOne automates the hardest parts of IT, allowing our customers, which include both MSPs and internal IT teams of all sizes, to easily manage, deploy, and control endpoints at scale in one platform as well as secure endpoints from ever-growing cybersecurity threats.
We help customers increase productivity, reduce risk, and lower costs. With NinjaOne, customers realise better outcomes, improve employee efficiency, and optimise user experience. Organisations can also scale securely with our cloud-native speed and agility.
When it comes to cybersecurity specifically, NinjaOne reduces risk for our customers by delivering on the fundamentals of endpoint security. This includes helping them to protect and recover from ransomware, and unifying IT and security operations. Our integrated security solutions make deployment simple while also decreasing time to resolve threats. Furthermore, we reduce silos and friction between IT and security with one console to manage cyber hygiene, security, and endpoint data.
What do you see differently from prevailing opinions in the field of cyber security?
Endpoints!
Fueled by a wave of remote and hybrid work, organisations are managing more endpoints than ever. In fact, according to a study by the Enterprise Strategy Group, 70% of employees in modern organisations now use four or more endpoints every day*.
This influx of endpoints and devices puts IT teams in an impossible situation. There is a lack of visibility and management of devices across organisations, and this poses serious security risks and challenges.
Automated endpoint management is the answer to this challenge. The solution simplifies work by managing and securing all endpoints so IT teams can give employees the tools they need to do their best work. Deploying automated endpoint management results in increased IT productivity and reduced risk.
What’s the latest priority for endpoint management?
Mobile device management.
Endpoints are constantly evolving, and more employees are using mobile devices for work than ever before. For comprehensive security, IT teams need to consider mobile devices as an extension of the network and another endpoint that needs to be compliant and secure. In doing so, organisations can reap the benefits of reduced complexity, enhanced mobile device management and security, as well as more productive and satisfied users.
What’s next – what’s on your technical roadmap, what are your plans for 2024 and beyond?
NinjaOne is dedicated to helping our customers succeed by continuously developing scalable and user-friendly products.
Our recent updates include the launch of NinjaOne Warranty Tracking, which is free for all of our MSP customers. We’ve also introduced NinjaOne Documentation, which is free for any MSP customer with up to three users, and our white glove Professional Services to facilitate smooth technology stack migrations for large MSPs without disrupting their operations. Additionally,
NinjaOne now leverages generative AI to provide comprehensive sentiment analysis for Windows KB updates, reducing patch-related risk and streamlining the patch management process.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! 2025 will see us continuing to deliver on our long-held commitment to help our customers win. We’re doubling down on security and automation with new patch management enhancements, expanded multi-platform device management, powerful workflow automation tools and an ever-expanding integrations ecosystem.
These investments will help IT teams enhance their security posture, simplify daily tasks, and ultimately deliver more value to end users. With NinjaOne’s focus on continuous innovation and keeping customers at the heart of everything we do, IT teams can confidently keep up with changing technology and provide top-notch services that help their organisations succeed.
If you could send an email to all CISOs to address a security issue, what would you choose?
Endpoint security.
Endpoint growth is accelerating right now. IT leaders had to rethink everything overnight when the pandemic hit. Internal networks disappeared, SaaS usage exploded, and endpoint growth surged as workers went fully remote.
When it comes to cybersecurity specifically, endpoints present significant security risk and are constantly targeted in cyberattacks. ESG* also found that more than three-quarters of organisations (77%) have experienced a cyberattack that started via the exploitation of an unknown, unmanaged, or poorly managed endpoint.
Implementing an automated endpoint management solution as part of their arsenal not only helps CISOs and their teams to increase the visibility and control they need to combat today’s greatest security risks, but it also unifies IT and security meaning security issues can be resolved faster.
Gaining visibility into all devices accessing the network, as well as getting ahead of the impact of ransomware by protecting critical data through backups, are both invaluable for security teams.
