No, these two areas are separate: in CyberCompare projects, we at CyberCompare always have access to all security providers on the global market and work with our customers to identify a long list and later the short list based on the comparison of offers. The CyberCompare community is an opportunity for CISOs, CIOs, CEOs, IT managers and anyone interested in security to identify the security providers on the market and thus gain an overview. The Community is in no way connected to the tendering projects.

Participation and listing in the CyberCompare Community is free of charge with the “Starter Package”. From the “Advanced” level, the offer is subject to a fee. The different price models can be viewed transparently here. At CyberCompare, we are committed to providing our end customers with high-quality consulting services – always from a provider-independent perspective. Our CyberCompare community helps us to know the provider market in the D/A/CH region as well as globally very well. What are the strengths and weaknesses? Which innovations are suitable for our customers? Which solutions are disappearing from the map? The membership fees of the security providers allow us to explicitly take time for this, have demos given to us and talk to customer references. At the same time, it is in the interests of everyone involved if, for example, we can share market insights with the providers and take time for feedback. In this way, we play our part in ensuring that the important and highly innovative cyber market can continue to develop in the right direction.

Independence in the cybersecurity market is our greatest asset. Our customers trust us and only work with us for this reason. Any violation of this independence would therefore have direct, far-reaching negative consequences for our reputation and ultimately our business. This is why we leave no room for doubt and always work internally with a dual control concept. In a typical project, we propose 5-10 suitable providers to the client – with a brief profile, but without any hasty recommendations. Based on the tender and a transparent comparison, our client then decides on a shortlist and later on the final winner. We make recommendations – always based on the facts and are also happy to put our clients in touch with other clients who already use the respective provider. In addition to our evaluation documents with scorings and weightings for each criterion, the customer also receives all of the providers’ complete original information, including their contact details, with all of our comparisons of offers. This ensures that our independent evaluations are methodically comprehensible and that no preferential treatment is given to providers. This transparently documented decision-making process is also important for our customers’ adherence to compliance guidelines.

No. The membership fees have the function of a subsidy for our advertising and operating costs and amount to between EUR 2,400 and EUR 4,900 per year. This means that an individual provider has no “business-sensitive” relevance for us and any short-term preferential treatment would therefore have no advantages. In all market research, bid comparisons and tenders on behalf of customers, CyberCompare is paid exclusively by the customers and does not receive any tipster fees, commissions or other remuneration from providers.
