Dr.-Ing. Stefan Rummenhöller is the founder and managing partner of r-tec IT Security GmbH. Born in Wuppertal in 1960, he studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University after graduating from high school and completing an apprenticeship as a machine fitter. During his doctorate, he worked for the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft for several years, supporting companies in the development and introduction of new technologies and the further development of networked production. In 1996, he founded r-tec IT Security GmbH with the aim of protecting IT infrastructures and digital information and assets. His many years of experience from a large number of security incidents have been incorporated into many publications and lectures on the topics of attack detection and risk minimization. As Managing Director of r-tec, Dr. Rummenhöller is currently responsible for innovation, marketing, sales and human resources.

In 2004, Götz Schartner founded 8com GmbH & Co. KG with the aim of protecting companies and authorities from cyber attacks. Under his leadership, 8com grew from a two-man operation to a managed security service provider with 90 experts, whose core business today is the Security Operations Center.

Thomas Mörwald is responsible for Managed Security Services at TÜV Rheinland i-sec GmbH. He has been working in cyber security for 20 years. In his role, he deals with the detection of and response to security incidents in IT and OT environments. The subject area also includes the operation of IT security components. In this context, he and his team support customers in strategy development, carry out assessments, advise on the design of holistic cyber security solutions, implement them and offer various managed security services.
